Cranberry Sauce - Cranberry II - Superbowl Cheeseball



Fiery Cranberry Sauce (Traditional Style)

    Ingredients:
  • 12 ounce package of whole cranberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • Two tablespoons of MEL'S HELLISH RELISH
    Directions:
  1. Mix sugar and water in a medium saucepan; stir to dissolve sugar
  2. Bring to a boil; add cranberries; return to a boil
  3. Reduce heat; boil gently 10 minutes, stirring occasionally
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Optional: For jellied sauce, blend at low speed until whole berries are blended in
  6. Cool completely at room temperature
  7. Refrigerate until serving time




Fiery Cranberry Sauce (Fast & Easy)

    Ingredients:
  • 16 ounce can of jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1.5 tablespoons of MEL'S HELLISH RELISH
    Directions:
  1. Empty contents of can into a large bowl
  2. Using a fork, break up jellied sauce into a loose mixture
  3. Add Hellish Relish to mixture, stirring in until well-blended
  4. Refrigerate until serving time




Superbowl Cheeseball

    Ingredients:
  • Two 8 ounce packages of cream cheese, softened
  • One 8 ounce package shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 chopped green onion
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup Mel's Hellish Relish (to taste)
  • 1 cup bacon bits or chopped nuts
  • One red pepper
    Directions:
  1. Combine all ingredients except bacon/nuts and red pepper in large bowl
  2. Blend at medium speed with electronic beater or by hand until well-blended
  3. Cover and refrigerate for several hours
  4. Form mixture into a football shape
  5. Cover with bacon bits or nuts
  6. Add thin strips of pepper for the "lacing" on the ball
  7. Serve with snack crackers like Tricsuits, Wheat Thins, etc.
